About Me

Why I do this

When I was sixteen years old there was a boy in one of my classes that thought it would be funny to make pencils that said, ” Lora has as beard. ” He passed them out around the school. As if being a teenager wasn’t hard enough but having to deal with unwanted hair in a visible area made it much worse not to mention having it in non-visible areas. My family didn’t have much money so seeking out electrolysis wasn’t even an option for me. I used bleaches which wasn’t the best but it was all that I had. Then at the age of 25 One of the male customers I had brought it to my attention again while waiting tables. I was so embarrassed but I let him know that I was well aware but also then pointing the fact that I had hair on top of my head unlike him. Probably not the best approach but I was dying inside and didn’t want him to know that. His wife quickly slapped him on the arm to let him know that was inappropriate. I decided it was time have electrolysis after that and then I decided to learn how to do it myself. I have always wanted to help those afflicted with the unwanted hair b/c of the emotional trauma that it caused me during my younger years and I wanted to be able to provide the service for a price that they can afford.

works on all skin and hair types. It can be applied to most facial and body parts, including eyebrows, chin, upper and lower lip, jaw line and sides of the face, breast, underarms, abdomen, bikini line, feet, legs, and back.

It depends on the area which you’re having done, as every follicle generally needs to be targeted at least twice. It all depends on what is causing the hair growth in the first place so it may take longer.

The most common side effects after an electrolysis session are tenderness, redness and some swelling

For most people, today’s methods don’t cause a lot of pain, but it can hurt. If you find it too uncomfortable, your doctor may be able to give you an anesthetic cream.

Permanent Hair Removal for Women With PCOS. Electrolysis is the only type of hair removal approved by the FDA as a permanent way of removing hair. 1 For the thousands of women with PCOS electrolysis is a great option to permanently get rid of thick hair that often grows on their face, chest, and back.

Electrolysis takes longer because each hair follicle has to be individually treated. … The best results will only be seen after 15+ sessions, although how many depends on your skin and hair. It’s cheaper per appointment than laser removal, though, with a session varying by times the cost will change accordingly.
